Raya season by bringing visitors a 360 balik kampung experience right here in
the heart of the city. Themed Balik Kampung, Balik Pavilion KL, the mall has
brought the past to present in an exquisite showcase of heritage and tradition.
A magnificent balik kampung setting inspired by a traditional 16th century
kampung house, is infused with contemporary designs and set to help urbanites
relive the nostalgic memories of yesteryears.
Ara and Aris, main characters from hit
children’s series ‘Pada Zaman Dahulu’, will also be spreading the joys of Raya
in Pavilion KL throughout this month.
With meet-and-greet sessions, Ara and Aris is
set to help the little ones relish the traditional values of the festive
season.
Shoppers can also try their hand at a game or
two of congkak with Ara and Aris, who will be giving pointers on how to play
the classic kampung game.
Other activities that will accentuate the festivities
include traditional musical performances, as well as traditional art forms of
woodcarving and metal filigree art.

Adding a contemporary edge to this celebration is Malaysian
metal sculptor Nizam Abdullah, renowned for his signature piece ‘The Fighting
Rooster’. Nizam further invigorates
the senses with two metal-art installations, exploring the convergence of
traditional and modern kampung life. Carefully articulated and
meticulously formed using metal, the two masterpieces were exclusively
commissioned and will be featured during
this balik kampung experience.
During the holy month of Ramadhan, Pavilion KL also offers
