BelleWave ClearWave Range (Product Review & Giveaway)

I wish I had clear and flawless skin but I don't. Enlarged pores, blackheads and pimples can be seen on my face. :( 

Few weeks ago, I have received the BelleWave ClearWave Range and a from BelleWave Malaysia for review purpose. I have been using this range of products for about three weeks and it's time for me to share with you my experience using them.

BelleWave has been in Malaysia for 15 years and they are salon exclusive products. BelleWave products is a Swiss made products free from mineral oil and its botanical based with NO animal testing.

The Bellewave’s ClearWave is a fine selection of problem-solving essentials targeted at banishing blemished complexions. Curb overactive sebaceous glands without drying out skin.

Powerful concentrates of rigorously selected ingredients help maintain the hydrolipidic mantel of skin while whisking away pore-clogging impurities, and reducing and controlling excessive shine. The result: Purified and tightened pores, and healthy skin that glows enviously.

The five products I was using for the past 3 weeks:

My daily beauty routine for day and night:

1.) ClearWave Deep Cleansing Milk (200ml, RM168)

 

My 1st beauty step is to remove make-up or sunblock by using this non-drying cleansing milk. This deep cleansing milk helps balance the hydrolipidic mantel of skin whilst removing pore-clogging impurities, oil and make-up. It also works to clear and prevent blemishes. Moisturizing and toning, it imparts freshness and comfort to the epidermis.It's suitable for combination & oily / blemish-prone skin.

This cleansing milk contains the following active ingredients:

Fomes Officinalis (Mushroom) Extract: Being an astringent, it enhances skin's tone and firmness greatly. Apart from its moisturizing activities, it also has a cutaneous pore-tightening effect, minimizing the visible appearance of skin suffering from excess sebum secretions.

Laminaria Saccharina Algae Extract: Normalizes the sebaceous secretion flow.

Panthenol (Provitamin B5): Has protective and moisturizing actions. It helps restore and maintain natural skin moisture, leaving skin feeling velvety and smooth.

Rosemary Essential Oil: With toning, anti-oxidizing, antiseptic and purifying virtues.

Peppermint Essential Oil: With refreshing and toning properties.

The ClearWave Deep Cleansing Milk comes in a pump bottle and it make the user easy to dispense the cleansing milk. The texture is smooth easy to massage on my face and neck to remove my make-up and impurities.

Every evening, I apply the ClearWave Deep Cleansing Milk on pre-moistened skin of face and neck. Lightly massage to remove make-up and impurities. Next, rinse with a soft sponge soaked with lukewarm water.

2.)  ClearWave De-Bac Washing Foam (200ml, RM168)

The ClearWave De-Bac Washing Foam is my 2nd step to clean my skin. This ultra-fresh washing foam gently cleanses and lifts away the pore-clogging impurities and oil of skin. It also helps normalize the sebaceous secretion flow, which assists in staving off the formation of blemish spots. It imparts clearness and freshness to the epidermis.

This washing foam contains the following active ingredients:

Sage Extract: With softening, toning and astringent properties.

Rosemary Essential Oil: With purifying, toning and anti-oxidizing virtues.

Fomes Officinalis (Mushroom) Extract: Has astringent, pore-tightening and moisturizing effects on the skin.

Panthenol (Provitamin B5): Has protective and moisturizing actions. It helps restore and maintain natural

skin moisture, leaving skin feeling velvety and smooth.

Peppermint Essential Oil: An aromacological fragrance with toning, refreshing and calming properties.

Hydrolyzed Wheat Germ Proteins: A skin-conditioning agent that moisturizes and helps bind water in the tissues.

This washing foam also comes in a pump bottle and it makes the user easy to dispense the right amount product during application.

It has a pleasant smell and does not foam much when used. It is refreshing and leaving my skin feeling smooth after used. Every morning and evening, I used two pumps of this washing foam on my pre-moistened skin of face and neck. Lightly massage to remove impurities. Rinse with lukewarm water. 

3.)  ClearWave De-Bac Astringent Lotion (200ml, RM168)

The 3rd step of my beauty step is toning, applying the ClearWave De-Bac Astringent Lotion. This lightly-textured antibacterial astringent lotion gently whisks away pore-clogging impurities and oil that can lead to imperfections. It reduces the formation of blackheads and blemish spots, tightens the pores, and soothes and moisturizes the epidermis. Skin is refreshed and clean, yet feels dewy and comfortable. BelleWave ClearWave promotes problem-free skin.

This astringent lotion contains the following active ingredients:

Anti-Bacterial Burdock Root Extract: Purifies skin, thus reducing the formation of blackheads and spots. It tightens pores and soothes the epidermis.

Fomes Officinalis (Mushroom) Extract: Has astringent, pore-tightening and moisturizing effects on the skin.

Witch Hazel Water: Witch Hazel is well known for its anti inflammatory, anti microbial and anti oxidant properties, due to the high amount of tannins that this herb has. It is an astringent herb and can reduce the body fluid discharge by constricting the skin and its pores.

Rosemary Essential Oil: With antiseptic, purifying, toning and anti-oxidizing virtues.

Peppermint Essential Oil: An aromacological fragrance with toning, refreshing and soothing features.

Panthenol (Provitamin B5): Promotes healing. Has protective and moisturizing actions. It helps restore and maintain natural skin moisture, leaving the skin feeling velvety and smooth.

Once again this astringent lotion comes in an user friendly pump. I really like this lotion. The ClearWave De-Bac Astringent Lotion helps to soothe and reduce my pimples inflammation. Every morning and evening, I soak a cotton pad with lotion and smoothen over cleansed skin of face. Pat dry and follow with day or night skin treatment.

4.) ClearWave  Comedone Repair Activist (12ml, RM168)

This is my favourite product in this range! The ClearWave  Comedone Repair Activist is a first-of-its-kind treatment for comedones, commonly known as blackheads and whiteheads —effortlessly dislodges blockages and impurities. The ClearWave  Comedone Repair Activist contains the following active ingredients:

Salicylic Acid: An effective keratolitic agent that favors exfoliation and thus improves the appearance and feel of skin.

Calendula Extract: Contains calming, softening and moisturizing virtues.

Camomile Extract: Has calming, moisturizing and tissue repairing properties.

Burdock Root Extract: Purifies skin, thus reducing the formation of whiteheads, blackheads and spots. Tightens pores and calms the epidermis.

Biological Equilibrating Agent: Helps balance cutaneous disorders typical of oily and problem skins.

Tomato Juice: A special botanical juice prepared from carefully selected fresh tomatoes. It helps improve skin grain thanks to its astringent effect and provides good calming, refreshing and exfoliating properties.

This light treatment serum instantly reduced my enlarged pores and make them appear smaller. After using for about a week, the blackheads look less visible and my skin appear smoother. My skin become less oily and shiny. My pimples scars also become less visible.

How I apply this product?

Soak a cotton pad with lotion and smoothen over cleansed skin of face (especially on T-zone, targeted area such as nose, cheek and chin or acne area) every morning and evening. Pat dry. Follow with my usual day and night skin treatment.

5.) Sunwave UV Extra DNA De-Tox UV Block (35ml, RM168)

Sunblock, is a must beauty product for me during daytime. Applying sunblock is an important step as it helps to prevent premature aging & skin damage from free radicals generated by Nnxious UV rays & environmental pollutants. 

The Sunwave UV Extra DNA De-Tox UV Block contains the following active ingredients:

Dispersed Micronized Titanium Dioxide: Gives safe and effective broad-spectrum UV protection with optimum transparency.

"New Generation" Sun Filter Complex: Helps protect skin against sun radiation and delays erythema and premature aging due to noxious sunrays. Acts as an SPF booster and enables the achievement of an excellent protection by a synergistic effect while offering good tolerance.

Vitamin A: Helps maintain healthy skin by improving texture, firmness and smoothness. Also helps to contribute to the prevention of desquamation and dry skin.

Soothing Agent: Reduces the formation of diffused redness by reinforcing the capillary wall, and calms irritation and feelings of discomfort typical of sensitive skin. Also helps to diminish dark circles around the eyes.

The Sunwave UV Extra DNA De-Tox UV Block (WHITE) (SPF 45 / PA+++) comes in grey tube packaging. This is a non-greasy, ultra-light emulsion is the answer to complete protection from the sun’s noxious UV rays and other environmental pollutants. The spectacular blend of technological ingredients ensures tanning is effectively avoided, while providing full-spectrum shielding. Strengthened with Vitamins A and E, skin also enjoys an unsurpassed level of moisture and nourishment that helps keep it healthy. Skin feels velvety, smooth and light throughout the day!

This sunblock has a light texture. I use it as my last step of day beauty routine. It is moisturizing and I even use it without my day moisturizer.

The pores and blackheads become less noticeable.  

My skin appear smoother.

Review: Carole Frank OKANA Radiance Complexion

Carole Frank OKANA Radiance Complexion is a skincare product with active components of natural ingredients to give skin its natural luminescene.

I have been this product for 4 weeks. Few days after I came back from KK after running my first marathon. I need something to bring back my skin radiant and for soothing the redness.

Its texture quickly absorb into my skin and leave a matte finish which is a good base for my make-up.

Results: My complexion is more luminous and radiant. My fine lines are smoothed out and skin is soothed (less redness). I really like the matte finish and it helps my make-up to stay on.

NEW Shizens Time Resistance Essence (Review)

The Shizens Time Resistance Essence, a product that serves as a true testament to the outer beauty and inner strength of women in this current demanding society has finally arrived in Malaysian!

About 1.5 months ago, I was invited to attend the launch event of the all-new Shizens Time Resistance Essence at KLGCC. This was my first time trying the Shizens products. During the launch event, Miss Ashley Tan , Deputy General Manager of Shizens Malaysia shared with us this new powerful essence - Shizens Time Resistance Essence. Shizens Replenish Nutrient Expert 

Step 1: Shizens Hydro Cleanser

Shizens Hydro Cleanser (RM158) comes in a size of 100ml. This is one of the skincare product from Shizens Hydro Series. This cleanser has the functions of skin hydration and anti-aging.

Shizens Hydro Cleanser contains Aloe Barbadensis leaf extracts which is antimicrobial, antioxidant and able to moisturize dehydrated skin. I love it's pleasant smell when I cleansing my face every morning and evening.

The Shizens Hydro Cleanser comes in a pump bottle and it make the user easy to dispense the cleansing gel. It is gentle, non-irritant and suitable for most skin types.

This Hydro Cleanser is able:

• to remove dirt and impurities without stripping your skin moisture.
• it helps to increase the moisture level of horned layer to make your skin look hydrated, healthy and radiant. 
• Moisture level of a dehydrated skin may increase up to 70% after a continuous use for one week, on day and night time.

Every morning and evening, I use 2 pumps of the gel to cleanse my face. It's quite simple, all I need to do is just add water on the gel to form bubbles. Next, I start to gently massage the bubbles on my face and rinse off with water. My skin is smooth after every time I cleanse my face. Remember to remove your makeup before using this Hydro Cleanser as it is not a makeup remover.

 Step 2: Shizens Hydro Enhancing Lotion 

Shizens Hydro Enhancing Lotion (RM188) serves as the second step in my daily skincare routine. This lotion helps to further cleanse my face for better absorption of my following skincare products. It is also another skincare product from the Shizens Hydro Series.

The Shizens Hydro Enhancing Lotion contains licorice root (Glycyrrhiza Glabra) extracts to repair skin cells for deceleration of skin aging. Besides that, it also contains witch hazel extracts which is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

This Hydro Enhancing Lotion comes in a 100ml pump bottle. Easy and convenient to use at home.

It's clear and watery lotion with a pleasant smell. After cleansing my face, I pumped 3 pumps of this lotion on my palm and pat my face gently to allow the lotion penetrate into my face. My skin felt hydrated and supple after using this lotion. Now, I'm really for my 3rd step of my skincare regime.

Step 3: Shizens SHUI

Shizens SHUI (RM 50ml - RM288 / 180ml – RM588) is a watery aqua-base product is a pure and natural way to detoxify negative substances and replenish nutrients for healthier, supple and luminous skin.

The essence is enriched with the Ganoderma Lucidumextract from a type of mushroom known as ‘Reishi’ or ‘Ling Zhi’. It helps to enhance the immune system of skin and delays aging. The botanical extracts such as Patchouli extract and Corallina Officinalis extract stimulate regeneration of skin cells and improve intercellular adhesion, contributing to improve skin elasticity. The high content of trace elements and mineral salts in the extracts nourish and revitalise the skin, ensuring there is sufficient moisture within. Besides that, the Ginkgo Biloba Leaf extract and Kalanchoe Spathulata extract provide maximum anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory protection. Not only that, the SHUĬ is also formulated with Centella Asiatica extract and Root extract that helps decelerate the skin aging process.

The Shizens SHUI available in 50ml or 180ml bottle. The bottle that I received is the 50ml Shizens SHUI.

After cleansing and toning my face, I pour a small mount of SHUI on my palm and pat on my face softly. Sometimes, I damp cotton with SHUI and spread on face evenly. Instantly, my skin felt more hydrated, supple and smooth after this product. It's in clear watery texture with pleasant smell.

Step 4: Shizens Time Resistance Essence

The Shizens Time Resistance Essence (30ml, RM 618) is my favourite product in all the 5 products I have used for the passed 1.5 months. This essence focuses on nourishing, firming, moisturizing and brightening the skin. Almost all the benefits can be found in this bottle of essence.

Nourishing

Time Resistance Essence nourishes skin with precisely selected ingredients such as Ceramide(plant-derived lipids), Kalanchoe Spathulata extract, Sodium Hyaluronate and others that synergize perfectly with each other to hold skin cells together and rebuild the skin barrier, while hindering the grow of harmful free radicals to decelerate skin aging.

Firming

Time Resistance Essence strengthens existing Ceramides levels and stimulates regeneration for firmer and smoother skin. It helps to maintain high levels of Ceramides in the stratum corneum, thus restoring the barrier function that protects the skin from external harmful agents such as environmental pollution, UV rays, dust and others.

Moisturizing

With the presence of Sodium Hyaluronate, Time Resistance Essence is able to boost up the water levels in the skin, ensuring it stays moist and hydrated all day long.

Brightening

Ceramide plays an important role in Time Resistance Essence. It seals the damaged skin barrier in order to hold sufficient moisture level in skin. Time Resistance Essence boost up the moisture level in skin, thus the brightening effect take place.

The Time Resistance Essence is specifically formulated with Ceramide, a natural lipid that is essential in protecting and moisturizing the skin. This essence is also designed to counter harmful factors and decelerate skin aging. It reinforces and supports the renewal of the skin’s natural protective layer and forms an effective barrier against moisture loss by restoring Ceramides level in skin. By plumping up the barrier, Time Resistance Essence ensures your skin retains more moisture, thus making it firmer and healthier.

Like most of the luxury essence, the Shizens Time Resistance Essence comes in a glass bottle with dropper dispenser.

It's  light milky texture with pleasant smell. I usually use 3 drops of the essence and gently massage on my face and neck. This essence absorbed quickly into my skin and leave my skin smooth and radiant. The fines on forehead become less visible. A great essence to invest for nourishing, firming, moisturizing and brightening the skin.

Step 5: Shizens Replenish Nutrient Expert 

The Shizens Replenish Nutrient Expert (10g - RM148 / 30g - RM380) is a day and night to moisturize that calm and protect the skin from free radical damages and suppress the visible signs of aging.

The Shizens Replenish Nutrient Expert contains natural herbs that proven to have anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-oxidant and healing properties.

The potent anti-oxidant formula in this product acts against skin premature aging by stimulating skin cells activity as active skin cells eliminate toxins easily and optimize nutrients absorption.

It has a light, non-greasy and yoghurt looks a-like texture that allows deeper absorption into the granular layer of skin to moisturize as well as prevent the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. I find that the smell is a bit too sweet. However, it has a good function. My skin feels supple after I apply it.

 

After I have been using the Shizens products for 1.5 months, my skin becomes more radiant and hydrated. My face become less oily in the afternoon and the fine lines on my forehead has significantly reduced.
