MAHSA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE Open Day and Malaysian Blogger First Aid Workshop

Last Saturday, I was invited by Advertlets to attend a workshop. This workshop was different from all the previous workshops I had attended. Not a skin care or makeup workshop, but it was a First Aid Workshop.
The First Aid Workshop was conducted at MAHSA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE , Jalan Universiti Campus. This campus has a strategic location and easy access by public transportation.

Brief introduction to MAHSA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE:
MAHSA was established in earnest in the year 2005 with the belief that higher education in the field of healthcare was a vital cog in the development of the nation. MAHSA is the brainchild of Datuk Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa who is CEO and Principal of the College. By the year 2007, the total student population stood at 7000 and with 2 years, MAHSA outgrew its original premise and thus a second campus was set up. Today, over 10,000 students are enrolled in over 22 courses ranging from Certificate programs to Diploma, Degree and Master programs. In 2008, MAHSA College was upgraded to University College status by the MOHE.

Slides presentation on CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation)
Miss Tan, the trainer demonstrates the correct method to perform CPR . The simple procedure is ABC :
A - Airway
B - Breathing
C - Circulation
Alright, now is the most interesting session in this workshop. The hands-on training for the invited bloggers.
OMG, someone is unconscious!
I tapped his (CPR manikin) shoulder and ask, "Sir, are you OK? ".
Oh, he doesn't respond!
Next, I begin CPR with the simple procedure - ABC :
A - Airway
B - Breathing
C - Circulation
It was not easy but I managed to perform 2 cycles of CPR. FYI, one cycle of CPR includes 30 compressions.
