Aveda Walk for Water 2014 : Treat Yourself and Change Lifes Locally

Hello April 2014! 

April is earth month and I always excited about all the upcoming events and activities.

Last year, we have Aveda Walk for Water 2013 - An international charity campaign and this year, Aveda Walk for Water 2014 is back on 27th April 2014!

Aveda Walk for Water is an international charity campaign driving public action towards providing clean water to communities in need. Through the walk, Aveda aims to generate awareness to the local water crisis faced by rural communities and islanders in Malaysia.

• The Malaysian leg of Aveda’s Walk for Water is in support of EcoKnight’s H2O Project (Help to Offer Safe Drinking Water to Mantanani) on the island of Mantanani (Sabah) where the funds raised will assist in delivering safe and clean drinking water to some 1200 villagers on the island. 
• It may be a popular tourist diving site, but locals on the island do not have potable water supply. 
• The project’s master plan includes securing a sustainable management plan to improve the livelihoods for the islanders.

 About the walk:

Date : 27^th April 2014
Venue : Pavilion KL (Fountain area)

Time : 7.30 am - 10am

Distance : 3km

All the registered participants will be getting a goodie bag (worth RM90) after the walk on the event day. The goodie bag constists of:

• AVEDA travel size Shampoo (50ml) 
• AVEDA travel size Conditioner (50ml) 
• a RM30.00 cash voucher.

Aveda Walk for Water - An international charity campaign

Last week, my buddy told me about an international charity campaign, Aveda Walk for Water on this coming Sunday, 21st April 2103. A group of us are planning to join this 2.5 km walk around Publika Mall. I want to join this walk with the aims to generate awareness to the local water crisis faced by rural communities and islanders in Malaysia. But, I have SCKLM running clinic to go. Which should I go?

About the Aveda Walk for Water

Aveda Walk for Water is an international charity campaign driving public action towards providing clean water to communities in need. This year, the walk will take place at:

• Square, Publika Mall, Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur. 
• The 2.5 km mass walk symbolises the distance individuals without clean water supply have to walk for fresh water. 
• Through the walk, Aveda aims to generate awareness to the local water crisis faced by rural communities and islanders in Malaysia.

• Participation is FREE however registration is encouraged. 
• On that day, donate a minimum of RM20 and take home a limited edition Aveda cap.
